Your business sponsorship provides access for everyone:
- Hosting community groups like ‘Performing Stars of Marin’ for a Day on the Mountain
- Providing ASL translation for hearing impaired patrons
- Teaching theater to students who have little exposure to live performances
- Performing at Redwoods Retirement Community for the residents who can no longer attend the play
Your business sponsorship makes a difference…
As public funding for the arts declines, theatre companies struggle to bridge the gap between rising production costs and revenue from ticket sales. Earned income typically only covers less than 2/3 of the actual cost of live productions. In addition, Mountain Play faces inherent challenges that other theaters don’t:
- covering over $100,000 for patron transportation
- building the stage from the ground up every year
- facing inclement weather and fire danger which have canceled performances.
