  • Providing ASL translation for deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons
  • Teaching theater to students who have little exposure to live performances
  • Performing at Redwoods Retirement Community for the residents who can no longer attend the play

Your business sponsorship makes a difference.

As public funding for the arts declines, performing arts companies struggle to bridge the gap between rising production costs and total revenue from ticket sales. Earned income covers less than 2/3 of the cost of live productions.
In addition, Mountain Play contends with inherent challenges that other theaters don’t:

  • Audience Transportation to the theater costs over $100,000
  • Building the whole stage from the ground up every year and leaving no trace after the last show
  • Inclement weather and fire danger which has canceled performances.
