Squire Dap: Lancelot’s squire.

One of Three named Knights who serve Arthur. All Devoted to Guenevere. They don’t care for Lancelot. Singing soloists, also part of the ensemble. A knight in Arthur’s court, Sir Dinadan is chosen by Guenevere to joust against Lancelot in hopes of humbling the seemingly arrogant knight.

Age 18-25
A youth who appears at the end of the show but maybe worked into the ensemble as a page, squire, etc. Destined to be a knight, the youth wants to fight for what is right and gives Arthur hope for the future. Tom of Warwick enchants King Arthur, who sees in the youth the fulfillment of his dreams for Camelot.

Reveler #6: Plays Arthur
Vocal range top: F4/Vocal range bottom: Bb2
Age 25-40
A rich and complex character, strong actor. Arthur is generous, compassionate, boyish, unsure of himself, yet, an inspiration to others. Raised and tutored by the magician Merlyn, Arthur, known when a boy as “Wart,” has grown accustomed to having Merlyn do his thinking for him. Then, as a squire for Sir Kay, Arthur innocently pulls a magical sword from an anvil and becomes the somewhat reluctant King Arthur. To complicate matters further, Merlyn is soon imprisoned by Nimue and is no longer around to do Arthur’s thinking for him. Soon, however, Arthur proves wiser than he may have ever supposed.

Reveler #7: Plays Guenevere
Vocal range top: A5/Vocal range bottom: A3
Age 25-40
Must have both strong acting and legit singing skills. A spirited woman quite caught up in chivalry and the exciting possibilities of a promised life. She loves Arthur but is in love with Lancelot.
A radiant princess at the play’s beginning, Guenevere has reluctantly come to Camelot to accept her fate as the bride to King Arthur, whom she has never met. Later, as a loyal and devoted wife, she brings out all the best in her husband. She continues to love and support Arthur despite her love for Lancelot.

Reveler #8: Plays Lancelot
Vocal range top: G#4/Vocal range bottom: A2
Age 25-40
Must have both strong acting and singing skills. Must sing, legit voice. Should create a strong, confident presence on stage. Abundantly self-assured Knight from France and often perceived as arrogant, Lancelot is a passionate disciple of Arthur and his roundtable and wants to further the cause of might for right. Unfortunately, along with his dedication and devoted friendship, he brings unforeseen problems as he falls in love with Queen Guenevere.
